The Ferguson-Florissant and Clayton school districts are reminding parents of emergency procedures ahead of the upcoming decision by a St. Louis County grand jury in the Michael Brown shooting. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that both districts sent letters home to parents discussing possible school cancellations or early dismissals, should safety concerns emerge.

Employees at two Wal-Mart stores in St. Louis County, Missouri stripped store shelves of ammunition this week in fear of looting as protesters continue to fill the streets in the beleaguered town of Ferguson. It's indicative of the high tensions that have not relented since August, when a white Ferguson police officer shot an unarmed African-American teenager.

The attorney for the family of slain Ferguson, Missouri, teenager Michael Brown called again Monday for an indictment of the police officer who fired the fatal shots. Attorney Daryl Parks said information in a Friday New York Times story that related what's said to be Darren Wilson's version of what happened shouldn't preclude Wilson's prosecution for the unarmed teen's August 9 death.

Ferguson police and protesters clashed on Wednesday night after tensions escalated during a scheduled demonstration, part of the Ferguson October movement. Between 100 and 150 protesters marched from the corner of Canfield Drive and Florissant Avenue, a few blocks from where Brown was shot, toward the Ferguson Police Department.
