The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is reopening the cold case of Agnes Banwell, an elderly Purcellville woman who was reported missing just nine days before her 81st birthday. Banwell, 80, was reportedly suffering from short-term memory loss and may have appeared disoriented when she was reported missing on July 2, 1994.

A group of passersby saw a man engaged in a domestic altercation with a female and confronted the man, identified as Justin L. Ashby, 30, of Aldie, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Ashby then reportedly assaulted the three men before being subdued by several witnesses.
