Loudoun County police arrested a Bristow man Monday following an armed robbery in the Greenway Corporate Drive area in Ashburn. Victims told officials they were approached shortly before 11:30 a.m. by a man who brandished a firearm and took their money and a cellphone before fleeing the area on foot.

A retired Fairfax County deputy accused of shoplifted from a Leesburg Target in May pleaded guilty to one charge Tuesday. Robert Harold Palmer Jr., 50, of Leesburg, was charged Tuesday with two counts of petit larceny for allegedly shoplifting from a Leesburg Target in May. He pleaded no contest to the second petit larceny charge.
