Michael Brown's official autopsy shows the 18-year-old was shot in the hand at close range during a struggle with the Ferguson police officer who fatally shot him, two experts said in a published report Wednesday. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch obtained the St. Louis County medical examiner's autopsy and an accompanying toxicology report that shows Brown had used marijuana.

A St. Louis medical examiner who is not part of the case, Dr. Michael Graham, evaluated the forensic documents obtained by the Post-Dispatch and determined that the evidence "does support that there was a significant altercation at the car."

An impromptu meeting between Ferguson protesters and the St. Louis County police chief was cut short by a shouting match involving a smaller group of participants. KMOV-TV reports that Chief Jon Belmar agreed to a closed-door meeting with about 20 protesters Tuesday night after a St. Louis County Council meeting.

If the local grand jury brings no charges against police Officer Darren Wilson in the case of Michael Brown's killing, street protests in Ferguson, Missouri, are inevitable. Demonstrators angry about Wilson's shooting of the unarmed black teenager in August already decry the grand jury's secrecy and "lack of transparency."
