Ratings for Pokemon Black Version

Rating Description
Presentation After playing the multiplayer modes using the streamlined IR interface, it's hard to imagine ever going back to Union Rooms and link cables.
Graphics There are some really nice scenery effects, and the Pokemon are finally animated, but a lot of the game looks dated.
Sound The music is vastly improved, with a lot of variety and some cool layered tracks. But some of the tracks are annoying and the sound effects are still basic.
Gameplay As an RPG, Pokemon finds an amazing balance between accesibility and depth. There is something for every type of gamer in here.
Lasting Appeal The story alone is 40 hours or so. You wanna catch 'em all? Be prepared to spend hundreds, if not thousands, of hours with this game.
