Were you planning on spending your Monday playing PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita? If so, you may have difficulty accessing the PlayStation Network for much of the day.
Sony's Matthew Harper, who manages PlayStation Digital Platforms, wrote a post over at the PlayStation Blog announcing a 13 hour outage of the PlayStation Network on Monday, April 16th. The outage will begin around 9am ETD (6am PTD) and is currently scheduled to end at 10pm ETD (7pm PTD).
"During much of this time," Harper notes, "users won't be able to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, Account Management or play online. PSN enabled websites will not be able to service users, including [the PlayStation Blog]."
The reason for the maintenance wasn't disclosed.
